BEAUTY VERSUS BEHAVIOUR

 STORY FOR THE DAY  WITH LOTS OF LESSONS 

  James and Ann met in a restaurant one beautiful day.

As time goes on,  they fell in love with each other and started a relationship. 

James was a very handsome and good looking young man with a well paid job.

Similarly,  Ann was a very beautiful lady ,  she was so beautiful that no man will pass her by without admiring her.

She had a very lovely and captivating eyes,  straight and beautiful legs.

And above all ,  she has a very good behaviour ,  she was intelligent and came from a very good home.

In fact she was beauty with brain. 

James' friends envy him so much for having an Angel like Ann in his life.

After dating for eight months,  they found themselves very compatible and James proposed to Ann.

Few weeks before their wedding,  James was sent abroad by his boss to represent their company in a meeting. 

During James' absence,  Ann was involved in a ghastly motor accident.

A lot of people  who were involved in the accident lost their lives while others sustained serious injuries including Ann.

Ann went through series of surgeries before she was able to survive,  her face was disfigured,  one of her beautiful legs was amputated. 

She has to  live with a disfigured face and an artificial leg all her life.

She will always lock herself in her bedroom and cry all day.

Her mother will always go to console and comfort her, pleading with her to stop crying and be thankful to God for saving her life. 

But she refused to be consoled,  she will keep saying that her most cherished James is going to hate her now and will not want to look at her face nor marry her again. 

When James finally came back,  he heard of the ugly incident and he ran straight to Ann's house to sympathise with her.

But She refused to see him .

He went home and continue making arrangements for the wedding. 

All his friends were surprised and started calling him all sorts of names because he insisted on marrying the ugly looking Ann.

After every preparations,  the wedding day finally came,  Ann was so surprised and she was scared to come out of the house even after dressing up for the wedding. 

James rushed into her  bedroom,  he embraced and kissed her. 

She was full of tears  and couldn't believe her eyes and she said amidst teats " I don't think I am good enough for you, my beauty is gone,  please go and look for a beautiful lady suitable for you".

But James smiled and replied her " I met a beautiful lady some months back and that same beautiful lady is right in front of me, I am not going to  marry anyone else apart from the beautiful lady I met some months back. "

" I didn't fall in love with you because of your beauty but because of your decent and good behaviour and I am not getting married to you because of your beauty rather your behaviour".

" you are still beautiful to Me and I still love you despite your disfigured face and artificial leg ".

Ann couldn't believe her ears ,  she has already lost hope of ever having  a good man in her life.

She was dumbfounded and kept shedding tears of joy.

They later got married  and lived happily ever after. 


LESSONS TO LEARN 

* Do not  use beautiful and handsome faces as criteria for marriage 

* True love looks beyond  the physical 

* Do not love  the outward beauty but rather love the inward beauty. 

* Ladies , don't allow a man to love you because you are beautiful outwardly and vice versa. 

Because even if you didn't experience any accident like Ann in the story above.

Old age will come and your beauty will go.

* Nobody is  ugly in this world ,  we all are wonderfully and beautifully made by God.
